We had one of the two rooms in the Bed & Breakfast. The decor was very nice. The bed was very firm, but we slept well. The shower was decent. Ruth, the owner, was a fountain of information which was very helpful.||Ruth makes and serves good breakfasts. Our first morning was eggs, toast, pineapple crisp, zucchini bread and bacon. The second morning was vegetable quiche and raspberry panna cotta.||Good prices on the rooms.

Ruth was a fount of information from our day trips around Nova Scotia. She went out of her way to give us creative &yummy breakfast every day. She made sure the room was clean & had fresh towels everyday when we could have reused at least one time . Her home has separate bathroom & shower facilities for each room . The location is just outside Truro and a beautiful setting central to many places such as Lunenberg & Halifax

Ruth is a very welcoming host (and an excellent cook!), breakfast was lovely and Ruth always always added an homemade twist for our morning meal. The Suncatcher is Ruth's home and has two separate comfortable guest rooms upstairs, each with its own en-suite bathrooms - both rooms can be closed off for privacy. Ruth has provided all that a guest need for a comfortable stay, along with lots of additional individual touches.|Ruth has a wealth of knowledge about Nova Scotia and gave us lots of ideas regarding where we could visit (along with maps to guide us!).|Would definitely recommend staying here.

Absolutely a gem of a place to stay. We needed a last minute place to stay between Halifax and CBRM due to flight changes. Ruth was not only accommodating, but helpful, kind and easy to work with. We stayed in the Chignecto Room which was beautiful and the attention to detail for her guests was top notch. Breakfast - as you would expect was out of this world. We appreciated all that Ruth did for us on that weird travel weekend.

Ruth was a lovely host and sat with us, providing all sorts of information from places to eat, to how to find music up in Cape Breton, and even history or the area. She was very responsive when we booked as a 3 person party to make sure we chose the right room for our stay. It was everything you want in a BandB, including a wonderful breakfast and an adorable dog.

Ruth is determined to make you welcome, with lots of little extras, sweeties, toiletries etc. She also takes your breakfast order the evening before to ensure that you have just what you desire. We only stayed one night and it was a last minute booking, but lucky for us. The room was fine, with a comfortable bed and we had a good night's sleep. Tripadvisor keeps asking if there is a TV in the room, during our tour, we didn't want any news and so I never took notice of whether there was a TV provided.

Ruth and Keltie (the Keeshond) were very welcoming. Breakfast was always superb. Ruth sure knows her way around Nova Scotia and had good suggestions. I was comfortable, enjoyed my evening visits and had lots of privacy as well. All in all, the Suncatcher is a safe, enjoyable, warm place to stay.
