My Wife & I travelled past on our Harley on our way up North. Linda is the owner. We were not sure of what route to take to see the best of this area, nor a place to stay the night. We had a great breakfast on July 5th, the best part was Linda's kindness. While the food, service and view (you can see Lake Huron from the dining area) was top notch, Linda went out of her way. I suspect this is just who she is as a human being. While eating Linda called some resorts to see if there were any vacancies while suggesting the best place to ride, stop to eat, etc. What a great place to eat and find a new reason to believe in humanity again.

Stop by if you are in the area, a great spot to eat and chat with the staff and locals.

I went to this restaurant with my family for lunch. I got the clubhouse sandwich. I really liked the sandwich and the chicken was nice white meat. I liked the fries also since they seemed like pretty natural style.

Stopped while traveling and got 2 breakfast takeout. Delicious coffee and the food was hot and very tasty.

There were a number of locals eating here which was great, but this review is for travelers.
The service was great and the coleslaw was very good but the rest of the food was not.
I had the hamburger and fries. The bun was bigger and much thicker than the meat which was dry and overcooked. Half of the fries were recooked and burnt.
My husband had the hot hamburger sandwich. The meat was the same as mine but the gravy was not bad and, as mentioned, the coleslaw (the only salad available) was quite good.

Sunset Beach restaurant at Thessalon, perched above the beautiful Lake Huron is a remarkable restaurant. Great serve and great food. The Burgers are remarkable and the ambience fantastic. Please make this a stop when you cross Thessalon.

This is a no-frills, friendly small-town diner. The food took quite awhile to be prepared given that they weren’t very busy. But we weren’t in a big hurry so it was fine. I enjoyed the fish and chips (French fries) dinner. My wife got the Rueben which was ok and our server was friendly.
