Everything was fine ... until we showed up for the free breakfast. No one advertised that it ended at 10:00 ON THE DOT. At 10:01, the room had been cleared and we were turned away with the comment that we should have a great day. Yeah, right. On a hungry stomach? A&W, here we come.

The building is old and poorly maintained. The window coverings appeared damaged and were not hanging properly. Our visit was at the end of November, -18c, and the room had a portable air conditioner connected to an open window? The bathroom was in really bad shape. Moldy caulking, a hole patched poorly in the wall above the toilet and was left unpainted, access panel rusting and paint peeling from it, and the tub faucet wouldn't turn off. The room was clean and beds were comfortable, which is why it received a second star. I am really surprised that Super 8 would have their brand attached to this property, to be honest.

Very clean hotel and hotel room. The room was very comfortable. Good simple breakfast was provided. Safe environment. Very friendly staff. A nice big room for a family of 5 to stay overnight in a small town. Good value for the money. We would definitely go back again if needed to stop by this town again.

We spent three nights here the third week of June. The building is tired and well past its prime as are the rooms. But the beds were comfortable, not too soft, not too hard, but reasonably firm. The Air conditioning was at the back of the room contained by a closet and a sink next to the bathroom. It restricted its ability to cool the main room and ran almost non stop and was quite noisy. The bathroom had a tub/shower. The shower head was good. The curtain slightly tattered at the top and the exhaust fan noisy. We were on the upstairs level. It was quiet. The door locked but the privacy hinge was broken. Breakfast was basic. Three dry cereals to choose from, toast, bagels, muffins, yogurts, juice, coffee, apples, bananas. Breakfast area was clean, and bright. Check in was slow, check out was quick. Adjacent to a good restaurant and lounge. Two star hotel and a good price. Cleaning staff and breakfast staff were very good. Near highway and main thoroughfare. Gets busy on the weekend.

It could have been better service. First the most positive was that even though I missed checkout time because of the airport, they still gave me the room. They were polite. But I think the first lady lied or was misinformed because she said that I could only stay 2 nights because of a wedding had booked the whole place, bit when I talked to another lady, she said they weren't full. So idk.

Check in receptionist was very friendly. The rooms were very clean, Bathroom, toilet, tub and towels all very clean. Comfortable bed.
The furniture could of use a little tightening but did not effect our stay.
Breakfast was more then adequate.
The grounds and walk ways could use some help but again didn't effect our stay.

The pull-out couch and one of the beds had mouse droppings in it. While the staff were apologetic and gave us a discount, the underlying cause of the mouse infestation is the fact that the A/C units are located outside of the bedrooms. The rooms are very hot, and patrons/staff keep the doors open for ventilation. Then the mice come in. Unless you want a sleepless night baking in beds used by rodents, I suggest you find a different hotel as I doubt the expense of relocating the A/C units to the main bedrooms will ever be done, people will continue to leave doors open, and mice will continue to call this hotel home.

I have stayed at this motel several times it was close to what I needed in Stettler (The bowling Alley)and worked fine. It was a good purchase for the price.

I don’t usually spend the time to post negative. The response from the hotel was deserving of this when we complained.

Last weekends stay may very well be my last. What a disappointment!
This time we were put in a room that had the heater ticking all night. Don’t stay in room 102. When the heater wasn’t ticking the fridge or something else was making a noise. I didn’t get a wink of sleep.
I got up at 3:00 in the morning to use the washroom and stepped on glass from some kind of glass vial , maybe used for insulin or something. Luckily I had thick socks on.

I can understand missing sweeping a spot however when I looked with the light on the glass was hard to miss.

The real disappointment was when my husband took the glass to the front desk to show them in the morning. There was no reaction and not even an apology. They actually smiled about it.

Our friends (2 sets) also mentioned they would not be staying there again either because it took both couples nearly an hour to checked in. The very same weekend.
Check in is at 3:00 pm ( very late) and the rooms were not ready yet then either.
When we checked in it took us a half hour. We got 2 room keys and both of the room cards didn’t work when we went to use them later.
I returned from bowling at 1:30 a.m. frozen and had to pound on the door and wake my husband to get in. He arrived at 11:00 or 12 and had to go get another door card.

With an apology this would never have become public knowledge.
