J'avais réservé cet hôtel car les photos étaient très belles et le fait que c'est un BW SIGNATURE COLLECTION....Erreur totale, le secteur ou est situé l'hôtel est très très ordinaire, zéro stationnement, odeur très désagréable dans l'entrée et
le lobby. Je n'y suis pas resté j'ai préféré allez à une autre hôtel et payer sans y rester........ vraiment moche et inhospitalier comme endroit. En anglais on parle des 5 L. Location Location, cet hôtel n'a rien d'un signature hôtel. N'Y ALLEZ PAS.

It’s a terrible hotel!
We booked on booking.com,and it has good reviews on booking.But after we checked in, I was shocked by the actual situation.
You have to climb several steps from the main desk to the elevator. The elevator looks like it was made in the 1950s. There is no sign to indicate whether the elevator is going up or down. You don't even know which floor you are on.
The layout of the guest room is even more ridiculous. The bed is only one foot away from the bathroom door, and the bathroom door is a whimsical hanging door that can't block the bathroom at all.
There are so many things to complain about, I can only say that staying in this hotel drives me crazy

If I could give negative stars, I would. Staying at this hotel in Thunder Bay was like accidentally walking into a parody of hospitality — only the joke was on me.

Let’s start with the highlight: no hot water. That’s right — after a long day of travel, I found out at 10PM (when I was finally ready for a shower) that the hotel had no hot water. No notification, no apology, just ice-cold water and a cold shoulder.

When I asked the front desk, they shrugged and blamed “the city.” Right. Because clearly it’s Thunder Bay’s fault this particular hotel couldn’t run basic plumbing. Then came the cherry on top — the front desk, in all their smug glory, told me, "If you’re not satisfied, you can check out." At 10PM. In a strange city. In the middle of summer travel season. How generous.

The owner, whom I attempted to speak with, refused to talk or take any responsibility. A masterclass in customer service avoidance. His attitude could be summarized as: Don’t like it? Leave. I suppose accountability is optional here.

Let’s talk design. Ever wanted to carry your suitcase halfway up a random set of stairs after taking the elevator? You’ll love it here. Accessibility clearly wasn’t on the blueprint. Good luck if you use a wheelchair or have bad knees — this place will humble you fast.

And the free breakfast? I’ve had better sausages at 2AM from dodgy Chinese night market vendors. The food was so inedible I walked to McDonald’s next door — and it felt like a five-star meal in comparison.

Cheap décor. Rude staff. Zero accountability. A breakfast that should come with a warning label. I wouldn’t stay here again if it were the last place in Thunder Bay — actually, I’d probably just sleep in my car.

Avoid this place like the plague unless you enjoy disappointment and cold showers.

Very nice little hotel with a fun, artsy vibe. I loved the art and decor in the lobby as well as in the rooms. Local art with an indigenous vibe. The rooms are smallish but stylish. The bed was very comfortable. There was everything at your fingertips in the room (small fridge, microwave, coffee maker with pods).Loved the bath and shower products! The breakfast was great and they have a wonderful high end coffee machine that makes expresso, steamed milk, etc. Such a nice treat for the morning. They also have flavoured waters in the lobby. Nice touch. We only stayed one evening while driving through but I would stay again. Staff is super friendly.

We liked the staff, small-ish room with a nice mural, and the fresh-seeming useful breakfast and fitness-room area. The loose-fitting sliding door for the bathroom isn't good privacy but it was fine for us and what fits in the space. Got great Indian food recommendation from staff. It was also an easy walk from a number of places we wanted to go on our weekend vacation! It's not the fanciest area or hotel but was enjoyable for us.

This is hands down the worst hotel I have ever stayed in.
The room was absolutely filthy — dirty carpets, mold in the bathroom, and a foul, musty smell that hit me the moment I walked in. The sheets looked used, and it was clear that cleanliness is not even a consideration here.

The staff were shockingly rude and unprofessional. From check-in to check-out, they acted like guests were an inconvenience, showing zero interest in helping with anything.

The surrounding area was just as bad — noisy, sketchy, and unpleasant, especially at night. As for the elevator, it was an actual safety hazard: loud, shaky, and honestly felt like it could drop at any moment.

This place is a complete disaster. It fails on every level — dirty, unsafe, poorly managed, and just plain depressing.
If you’re reading this, do yourself a favor: spend your money elsewhere. This place should not be in business.
