An amazing place, perfect for rest, relaxation and recuperation. Our studio was well equipped and comfortable. Everything had been thought of. Perhaps the best bit was the private covered decking overlooking Porpoise Bay. We ate every meal at the little table and chairs out there, and relaxed on the loungers, even when it was raining. The gardens are nicely landscaped and maintained, and there is a zigzag path down to the pontoon, which has more chairs to lounge on.|Elaine was a great host, with good communication before and during our stay. She spent a lot of time with us on our arrival explaining how everything worked, and giving us recommendations of places to visit and restaurants.|We very much hope we will be able to return one day.

The location, apartment, and host, Elaine, are all delightful! Sechelt shops and restaurants are a short drive or 25-minute walk away, so the only noise you'll hear is from nature or seaplanes taking off from the inlet. The water view over your morning coffee on the deck is fantastic. Elaine lives on site, and the apartment and grounds reveal her passion and attention to detail. Her communications are prompt and clear, and she knows the area very well. For us, this was a thoroughly enjoyable start to our BC vacation. Thank you, Takahashi Gardens and Elaine.

My daughter and I stayed in the Nikko cottage and had a wonderful, relaxing three day stay. We were so pleased to find the resort is within walking distance to the seaplane terminal and downtown Sechelt. The cottage was equipped with everything a person would want on a relaxing vacation. We enjoyed the private hot tub with a view of the bay. The bed was big and comfy, its extremely peaceful and quiet so we slept well. Elaine, the host is very friendly and accommodating. She made sure we had everything we desired, including play time with her dogs. I would definitely recommend this spot. It's truly beautiful.

Recently celebrated our engagement by spending three nights here. Elaine is a wonderful host, so welcoming and ready to provide us with anything we needed during our stay. We appreciated the private hot tub and personal accommodations as we were looking for a place to have to ourselves. Would definitely stay here again!!

The five-star reviews perfectly align with our experience. Peaceful, beautiful, and natural. We stayed in the cottage, soaked in the hot tub, slept like babies in the big comfy bed and took in the serenity surrounding us. We took wonderful host Elaine's advice and took an easy hike at Smuggler's Cove that created a healthy appetite and ate heartily at one of the many eateries she recommended. Every part of the name rings true; Takahashi is a lovely garden (even in winter) with a wonderful view where you can retreat from the noise and haste of city life.

If you're looking to get away to a super quiet retreat then look no further. Takahashi Gardens has everything for a break from maddening crowds. Wonderful location overlooking Porpoise Bay with relaxing chaise lounges on the large deck. The units are very well equipped so all you need is to bring along your favourite foods and books. The owner is extremely helpful and the complex is extremely clean and tidy. Wonderful get-away.

Elaine was a great host, she allowed us to do our washing, provided a spotless place to stay and offered lots of advice for where to hike and sightsee in Sechelt and the Sunshine Coast. The views are incredible and the deck is the perfect place to relax and swim. The hot tubs are beautiful and private, there might be a few too many rules to follow is my only criticism.
I'd 100% come and visit Elaine if I was on the Sunshine Coast again, her place is perfectly close to town and super quiet and peaceful

Elaine was so friendly and welcoming and gave great advice where to eat and places to hike. |We booked in the Yama suite. It was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. |Also did our laundry while there after being on the road traveling around. |Great views into the Bay. Enjoyed time on her dock.|
