I got across Tecvan while searching for Thinsulate for my new van. I was surprised to find a shop locally near Vancouver and the price of Thinsulate and duck wrap combo was a great value. Since then, I have bought other products over and over and finally got one of my favourite accessory as shown on the photo. The crews and owner are great people to deal with. Highly recommend the store and the products.
*If you buy the same carbon fiber box, expect to make a whole and drill for the mounting hole. I lucked out and made a perfect markings on the box so got away with perfect fit but it was challenging.

New addition: bought the Velit 12v AC and cut a whole on the roof as shown. I wasn't sure how well the duck liner stuck to panels but it held on as well as 3M spray purchased from the Tecvan held up really well. Great stuff

Over the last 5 months since picking up our new van from the dealer I have had dozens of interactions on product sales, product pickup as well as installation services at Tec Vanlife. Most of the top van build product and service suppliers are based in the mid west, mid and southern US states and I was surprised to find a local company designing, manufacturing and installing that stands up to the best in the industry (in my opinion). I had done quite a bit of research prior to picking up our van and most times the Tec Vanlife products and team have met or exceeded my expectations. Further, I feel that Tec Vanlife is now moving to the forefront of product innovation with the integration of more high quality aluminum and carbon fibre material based products.

What a wonderful buying experience! I just visited the Tec Van Shop to purchase a few items (water tank, thinsulate and roof rack). Upon arrival some of the staff were installing windows in a van so I stood and watched. This is my second go around at building a camper van. I wish these guys were around in 2017. It is so much easier and cheaper not having to source out all my materials from varies buyers. Frank and Nick were very professional and gave me the time of day even though they were busy. They were very knowledgeable and helpful when I asked about flooring and other aspects of my Transit build. I will definitely be going back for more supplies.

Just a side note...
I use google reviews all the time to help with my decision to visit a business. It is really disappointing that the competition can leave a 1 star review just for the sake of lowering the businesses overall score. There are legitimate honest reviews and then there are fakes. It is my belief that the 1 star reviews for Tec Van are that of the competition. They are frustrated that they cannot match Tec Vans pricing nor offer such quality service. I hope my review is helpful.

Had an issue with a roof rack I ordered. The company was quick to reply and sent me all the tech info I needed to do a fix. They offered me compensation for my troubles as well! They seem like a professional and innovative company with very fair pricing. I have already ordered another part from them.

I made some orders over the winter and picked up in Vancouver. Got home to TN and found some glitches in the order. I contacted Frank and Nick at TecVan and they promptly corrected the issue. I could not be happier with the service and their products. Highly recommend this company for your Van Products.

Frank and his team at Tec Vanlife have been amazing in their customer service and technical expertise in installing several important components in the building out of my van. They have done all of the electrical work, installed a skylight, composting toilet, a fan, and more. I'm very impressed with the work they have done, and I'm looking forward to utilizing all of my newly installed upgrades to my home on wheels!

Great customer service no had some issues with a ladder and they have went way out of their way to make things right not just for my set up but for future customers too with a redesign for the new sprinter back window wiper set up. I original went through Nomadic Van Supply which I ordered it through. They have awful ethics and customer service. I should have and will in the future order direct through Tec Vanlife. Frank has been great to work with. Thanks Frank.

It’s with even further disappointment that I must post another star lacking review.

In my last review I mentioned that when I retrofit the TecVan built ladder when it arrived, I discovered missing bolts and that I’d have to redrill unmatched bolt holes for the one aluminum insert of their own TecVan two piece ladder. While their response to my review suggests they “checked their history”, they did not actually reply to my calls or texts or any further emails. I let that go, but…

If they are still manufacturing their own ladders (or other powder coated products) BEWARE….

In May 2024 when I went to install the ladder, I found out it also was too long and I had to cut off 5/8” and refit the bolt holes to the insert entirely.

NOW, only 8 months post install, the paint has begun to peel off (4” up the pole so far on the base curve of both rails) and paint is chipping off the steps. I didn’t get a chance to put up the surf pole last year and now very hesitant to do so !! I am a city and highway driver primarily. If I had to drive a dirt road I would be the one you never want to get behind because I drive very slow to protect my paint.

I’m now looking for a someone that can do proper powder coating, OR, a new ladder that I can custom drill to match the pinch plate holes drilled for this one. Not the nicest place to have drill more holes through !!

IMO, TecVan may have access to good products by other manufacturers, but I cannot recommend their own products’ quality or fitments based on these experiences.
