An all round awesome experience. Meticulously decorated, clean and comfy. The way that the old turn-of-the-century vibe is maintained with a modern twist is so well done. You could not possibly find a more conveniently placed location to explore the area. We were more than impressed. Will definitely return someday. A wonderful boutique hotel.

A perfect location to spend a few days in the Ladysmith area. Nice size modern rooms with period and heritage touches plus recycled items from the original building. Centrally located, comfortable bed, AC, windows and a view from the room. The owners Denise and Stefan are excellent hosts. We stay in room 5. If we come back we will try one of the upstairs rooms.

Our suite was amazing! It was very clean and comfortable and everything we could possibly have needed was supplied. We were made to feel very welcome and Stefan and Denise went "above and beyond" what was necessary for our comfort. Good luck in the future. Thank you. Sue and Steve.

The Temperance Hotel was a treat for us! So clean and spacious enough for two. The bed is quite comfortable. After a week on the road, we were ready to do laundry, and there was a washer and dryer in the suite! We must have missed that in the description. When booking accommodations online, you're never 100% sure what you'll find when you get there; the Temperance Hotel did not disappoint. Denise checked in a couple of times to ask if we needed anything. The location in the heart of charming Ladysmith was a plus for us. We will stay here again if we return to Ladysmith!

Our stay at Temperance was wonderful - clean, cozy, and comfortable. Communication with the owner was prompt and easy. The town itself is charming, with plenty of lovely shops, bakeries, and restaurants to explore. We truly enjoyed our time here and are already looking forward to coming back. We stayed for 2 nights in suite 5 and it was so clean and cozy. The bed was so comfortable and the bathroom was just amazing. The small kitchenette was just right. We will be staying here again when visiting family. And the location is perfect to the downtown area.

Beautiful clean comfortable unit. I was in unit 5 and it was very spacious clean and comfortable a real home from home. I would highly recommend the hotel. The owners/ hosts could not do enough to help very nice people.

Lots of restaurants and pubs nearby bakery down the street makes the best cinnamon buns around. Rooms are absolutely beautiful and you feel like your at home. Great for short stays but also great for long stays with full kitchen and fridges.
