Cool character hotel 1 block off Baker St and close to everything downtown.
The hotel was clean, pet friendly and it was really convenient having a coffee shop (great coffee and food), sports bar and a steakhouse in it. Great happy hours and the food was pretty good too. Hit the first half at the sport at for $5.75 craft beer on tap and the second half at the steakhouse for half price cocktails 😁
Free parking at the back but only about 11 spots so grab one when it's open and hang onto it. Easy to do if you are just checking out the town like we did, everything is walkable.
Don't expect champagne for beer prices, but it met our needs and we would definately stay again.

Great stay in the heart of downtown Nelson! The location is unbeatable — everything from restaurants and cafes to shops is just a short walk away. The hotel is simple, clean, and affordable, which makes it a great choice for anyone visiting the area.

The staff were friendly, and the overall atmosphere was welcoming. If you're looking for a convenient, no-fuss place to stay in Nelson, this is a solid option. Would definitely stay again!

First time staying at The Adventure Hotel. Very central location in downtown. Recently updated room. AC worked well. King bed was very comfortable. Medium firm mattress. Dinner at Louie's Steakhouse was really enjoyable and Empire Coffee next door offered delicious baked goods and yummy espresso drinks. Friendly staff. Only downside was no elevator so if that's a factor maybe not the best fit if staying on the 2nd or 3rd floor.

Fantastic location in the heart of Nelson, staff are really friendly and helpful, the bar beneath the hotel serves great food and drinks, and there are tons of amenities like a local grocery store, liquor store and more within 2-5 mins walking distance. The room itself was a bit creaky (the floor) if I'm being critical but given I was barely walking around in it that didn't sour my experience much. The only other oddity was the washroom sink which had separate cold and hot water faucets (aka no blended temperature water) but thankfully the shower was normal and had good pressure. I was here for a Ducati club event Canada day long weekend and would definitely come again. They have been servicing our event for years and are always reliable.

4.5 stars! This was a cute little hotel in the heart of downtown. Close to all the shopping and restaurants, so you don't need your vehicle. There's free parking on site, but it's limited, so try to get a spot early. There's also a restaurant/pub, a steakhouse and a coffee shop on the ground level of the building. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and the room was really clean.
The only downside was no elevator and it was a little bit noisy between the rooms, but that's to be expected in most of the older buildings in Nelson. But to be honest, we weren't really bothered by these things at all. It was quiet enough that we didn't hear a peep from the packed restaurants from our room and what's a few stairs...
Overall, it's very good for what it is and it was very affordable. Great value for your dollar.

The desk, & lounge staff were very helpful & friendly.
Would have been nice to have a small refrigerator in the room, as there was room for one. There is a fridge down the hall but do not feel comfortable leaving my meds in there.
The bed wasn’t that comfortable but the room was cute & cozy.
Room #111 was above the bar so music was a little loud if u had the window open during the night.
The location was amazing!
Would I stay here again, maybe.

Kinda expensive for this hotel. Exposed walls, very small rooms. Washroom renovated though, location is great. Parking was closed and I was told to park on the street. No elevators which can be a good thing but something to consider. The view was good, 3 floors with a restaurant in the bottom. The café place beside it was awesome though. Street parking free from 6pm till 9am which makes it convenient. Room had a bunk bed so can host 3 ppl if needed.

Trendy, funky vibe - corrugated metal, bright (mostly orange & red & yellow) & my room had an original brick wall, nice little 2nd floor roof patio & dry sauna, good common kitchen (but only 4 upholstered chairs for the lounge area & they were occupied when I went to relax there). Cool 1913 safe in the lobby, still in use! Shared shower could use an extractor fan.
