I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding a highly disappointing experience with a booking I made through your platform.

I had reserved a room for the night of June 17 to 18, and the booking was confirmed by Booking.com. However, upon our arrival at the hotel, there was no staff present to assist us. After waiting for several minutes, we received a text message from the hotel informing us that Booking.com had mistakenly booked a room that was already sold out. They further told us that, due to this error, we would need to cancel the booking to be eligible for a refund.

We followed their instructions and canceled the reservation as advised. However, it has now been two days and we have yet to receive any update or refund confirmation from either the hotel or Booking.com. This delay is not only inconvenient but also unacceptable given that the error was not on our part.

We trusted Booking.com to manage our accommodation reliably, and this experience has been both stressful and frustrating. I kindly request that this matter be investigated promptly and that our refund is processed without further delay. Additionally, I would appreciate an explanation of how such an error occurred to avoid future issues.

Please treat this matter with urgency and confirm once the refund has been processed.

Terrible. Just a small hallway of locked room doors but I never received the code to get in and none of the telephone numbers worked. At 7 pm I had to go find another place to stay. Even though I notified them, they still charged me for the room and would not refund the money even though I could not and did not use the room!

Room was clean, and comfortable once I turned the heat on. When I arrived, the room was below 10 °C. Wifi cut out regularly. Shower soap/shampoo dispenser mount was on the wall, but no dispenser was there. Used the soap from the bathroom sink. I was sent a booking confirmation, but nothing that showed my payment. I e-mailed and phoned about a receipt with no response (after 2 weeks at this point). I need a receipt to claim the work expense. Amount billed to my card doesn't match what's on my booking. Only a couple bucks and change but it should be an easy detail to get right.

Hotel is not easy to find. Asked several local people for directions, and none had heard of it. When it is located, there is no reception, merely a door, in a bar's entryway, to a stairway. Called hotel's phone number, got only voicemail. Check in is contactless. At 4 pm you receive a text informing of room number and access code. Rooms are above a bar. Night I stayed was karaoke night. Whole room vibrated to music below. Air conditioning was an in room unit, not adequate to cool. Window covered with plywood - no view. This room cost me around $200/night. Booking here was a mistake.

I will try to start with the positives:

1. The room was clean and had been recently (but very cheaply) renovated.
2. It was cheap.

On to the issues:

1. The stairs and corridor (there is no reception) were disgusting. The carpet was filthy and the smell was truly awful. The roof (see photo) outside the windows has exhausts from the restaurant kitchens below and as a result our room smelt of stale fryer oil.
2. The door of the room next to ours had been smashed or kicked in (see photo), and honestly this place did not feel safe especially with a family.
3. The bar directly underneath the venue was a complete dive and as a result there were lots of drunk dudes hanging about outside. I saw one guy shouting and being abusive and we saw the cops outside at least once. We were fortunate that there was no live music on the night we stayed as the noise would have been a nightmare.

Overall I would not recommend staying here unless your only other option is sleeping in the street. We stayed 1 night and even though we were booked for 3 we left immediately the next morning. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

There is no manned reception, and the rooms are accessed via a disgustingly dirty staircase. Someone sends you a text to give you a code to the room. In the room we found that the bed appeared to not have been laundered since the last occupant, numerous hairs were found in the bed, which was dirty and creased . We could not stay there and had to find alternative accommodation. When we complained we were told that they would not refund, and wished me happy travels! All in all not an experience you would want. Steer clear of this place.

I don’t normally write reviews but feel it’s my obligation to let people know and to maybe save them some hard earnt pennys by staying away from this dreadful property !!!! hands down this is the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in ;I wud not recommend this to my worst enemy l!!! if it wasn’t that it was for only one night and we were snookered due to arriving late we was very close to sleeping in the car : the customer service is non exsistent ; on arrival we walked into the foyer where there’s a pub underneath the apartments and the foyer was filthy :the entrance to the apartments u just open up and walk up the stairs at ur peril!!! Cud n t make it any easier for thieves to break into ur apartment; the locks on the doors are a joke ; on entering the stairs there’s two mice traps at the bottom which gives u an idea of what’s in store : the carpet on stairs and hallway was disgusting and the smell was rotten , so rotten we went and bought 2 tins of air freshener to overcome the stench . Inside one of sockets was nearly coming out of wall and very dangerous , behind the cabinet was filthy , the cleaner if there is one !! Clearly doesn’t do a very good job ; we got up at 6am as I was restless and was worried I might catch something ; my wife discovered a rotten pair of flip flops under a cupboard clearly been there for some time We left them out to expose total lack of effort to keep this apartment clean : I can only say stay well clear of this place its rotten !!!
