The Evangeline Hotel - Grand Pré, Nova Scotia

We just had the best stay at this hotel!

We were a group of 3 families with young kids, and the owner’s house was perfect for us! It was nice and spacious - lots of room for the kids to play. We all fit comfortably without feeling on top of each other. The private back area and outdoor eating space was a nice bonus too.

The location of the hotel can’t be better - really close to Wolfville and all the amazing wineries in the area. The hotel is close enough to everything that we could explore and get back to the hotel easily for the kids’ naps.

We also loved having the Longfellow restaurant on the property. The food was delicious, and it was so convenient to be able to have a good meal without leaving the hotel (hot tip: the burger is great and the portions are generous).

Thank you Evangeline for an incredible stay! We will definitely be back!

We had a fabulous stay in the newly renovated owner’s house, a 5-bedroom, beautifully appointed, self-contained residence within the Evangeline Hotel. A special feature is its direct access to the swimming pool! (Though other guests can also access the pool, we felt like we had our own private indoor pool, making it very special for the kids!)
The home can accommodate 2 or 3 families - it has a huge kitchen and enough indoor AND outdoor seating as well as 3 bathrooms and a washer dryer. Very child-friendly but also sooo coolly decorated for the adults. The restaurant on the premises is also EXCELLENT and so convenient. Moreover, the staff were so helpful and extremely solicitous, attending to our every need.
Can’t say enough about this place. Don’t miss it if you’re visiting the Annapolis Valley in Nova Scotia!

Comfy bed and clean room, but I expected a lot more for the price. Feels like more effort was put into making it Instagram-friendly than making it hospitable. Hope to see some improvements as they grow more established!

We had a great time at this hotel. Great rooms and service. The rooms were decorated very nicely. Very convenient location close to all the attractions with a great restaurant on site as well. There was a pool on premises which our kids loved. Will be coming back.

Disappointing experience - was originally looking forward to see the newly renovated Evangeline. The photos online are not reflective of actual property/rooms. The room was basically falling apart - broken curtain rod, broken ac with replacement unit that was not properly installed and very loud. Bathroom was run down with broken hooks and fruit flies. Pool was dirty and had not been renovated at all. Just not what I expected for $250/night and from the photos which made it look a lot nicer.

I rented the whole property for my family and friends to stay the two nights leading up to my wedding. We barely left the property we loved it so much. The rooms are clean and beautifully decorated. The staff is helpful and polite.

The groomsmen got ready in the recently renovated “Owner’s House” and the bridesmaids got ready in the “Borden House”. The aesthetic of each is on point and it shows in the few sneak peeks we’ve received from the photographers thus far. It was truly a highlight of our wedding weekend staying at the Evangeline with our friends and family. I highly recommend staying here for a weekend away or renting the the whole property for a family reunion or wedding.

I just had a wonderful staycation at the Evangeline this past Saturday night with my son, his mom and my mom! My son ran into the property saying “this is the best motel ever!!” And it was.

We loved the pool and pool room…so light and yet not too hot for those who were lounging.The pool temperature was just right for us. The outdoor hot tub is very cool with the willow tree nearby and the views.
We enjoyed it all so much. Thank you.

Vorsicht: der größte Teil der Zimmer befindet sich nicht im historischen schönen Gebäude sondern in einem langen Bau entlang des Parkplatzes, der eher einen MOTEL entspricht. Auf eines dieser Zimmer bezieht sich die folgende Bewertung:

Positiv: moderne renovierte saubere Zimmer, nah an Grand pre Gedenkstätte und Museum, es gab netflix

Negativ:
- Zimmer ging zum Hang raus und hatte nur kleine Fenster
- sehr hellhörig (wenn im Nachbarzimmer geduscht wurde, müsste man den TV lauter stellen
- schlechtes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis
- Pool war alt und unrenoviert
- Architektur entspricht einem Motel
- kein Frühstück bzw. keine Informationen dazu.
