We had a wonderful stay at Little Wild! The view from the window overlooking the Tablelands was absolutely stunning—we even spotted a seal swimming in the ocean. The cabin was warm and inviting, with a cozy wood stove that made it feel like home. The bed and pillows were super comfortable, making for a restful sleep. Highly recommend for anyone looking to unwind in nature.

If you’re looking for a sublime location and view, The Little Wild has both. What a getaway to either tuck in or adventure. The home is thoughtfully designed and well equipped for comfort. Fantastic hosts too, we can’t wait to return.

We were unfortunately never able to stay at this place, but I am giving it 1 star for the disappointing response they had to my husband and me when we had to cancel our reservation. We got married last weekend and had planned to take our honeymoon here, which I shared with the hosts in February when we booked the place. We were SO excited as the place looks amazing. Unfortunately, my husband came down with COVID-19 the night before our flight and we had to cancel our trip last minute, which was so devastating, but he was feeling quite sick and we didn't want to travel knowing one of us was COVID positive. I shared the reason for this cancellation with the hosts, and then asked for a refund due to the exceptional circumstances.

The hosts told us they would not give us a refund; I then asked if they might consider a partial one, which they simply did not respond to. I had shared with them that we lost over a thousand dollars on this trip due to the last-minute cancellations. To me it felt heartless that they seemed unwilling to offer even a bit of financial relief for my husband and me--we are not rich, and this trip was a huge splurge for us and now we are dealing with the financial effects of this.

My wife and I were very excited to stay at this Air BnB for our honeymoon. At 1:40am, while getting ready to leave for the airport, I tested for COVID as I was feeling sick. After getting multiple positive results we decided to cancel our trip and immediately started reaching out to airlines, rental car companies, and Air BnB hosts trying to recoup what we could. We were in this trip for a significant amount of money. Multiple hosts immediately refunded us in full.

However, despite providing Meigan and Peter 48+ hours notice, they would not refund anything more than the cleaning charge. We were $800 into this rental that we would never see. We understand that it is the busy tourist season (their place is almost completely booked all summer), but we were refunded from a host just down the road in Rocky Harbor in the same situation. They would not even consider a partial refund. As per their Instagram they own 4 AirBNB's. This was just one stay at one of these locations.

I find some humor in their bio as hosts:

"Globe trotting, adventure seeking, life loving, business owning, impassioned health promoter, massage therapist and yoga teacher, wife...AND, Mother to Sophia. My husband, Peter and I strive to abide by that perfect work/life balance. He & I are the passionate, outdoor adventuring types, who live to laugh and have fun, make things and use our hands and creative juices, garden & produce our own food, discover music, enjoy delicious foods, and to flex creatively in the kitchen together; and especially, to live surrounded by the goodness of great people, and daydream of trips to experience other amazing parts of the world and its people."

They seem to mention every possible bullet point they'd like to display about themselves. However, this action showed a trait that was not listed - a lack of compassion. We were trying to do the right thing by not flying to a foreign country with a highly contagious illness. We were up at 2am (with COVID) trying to tell people ASAP that we would be cancelling. We were leaving for our honeymoon. I understand there are policies, and this is a business for them - but they are also human beings, as are we. As much as they like to portray themselves as free-spirit, world-traveling, good folks - it seems what really matters is the bottom line.

We spent 3 weeks in Western/Southern Newfoundland, and our very favourite spot was Meigan & Peter's grey house, Exposure! It was perfectly cosy, beautifully decorated, and thoughtfully equipped. We were sad to leave! A lovely, comfortable place where we really felt at home and thoroughly enjoyed all that the area has to offer. Meigan was wonderful throughout, so helpful and kind. We hope to return someday and stay longer! A true gem in Gros Morne.

A beautiful setting right on beachfront property in picturesque Norris Point. One of the best views of Bonne Bay and you can see it right when you wake up from the loft style bedroom.
