This is a 5 Star Hotel!
I travel for work, staying somewhere new every couple of weeks. Hands down the nicest place I have had the pleasure of staying in this past year!! The room had everything I could ever need.
This is my Nelson go to. Great location in the heart of town. All the shops are minutes walk away. Food is steps from the room.
Extremely pleased customer!!!
I will never stay anywhere else!

We had a lovely experience at the beautiful, new Oak Hotel. Room was lovely - adorned with “Silk & Snow” brand soft fluffy towels, bed was extremely comfortable and the bathroom amenities were all-natural and smelled heavenly (lemongrass, mint & rosemary essential oils - wow!). Continental breakfast was great (bagels, muffins, yogurt, cereal, fruit, hard boiled eggs, assorted jams, juice, coffee, tea!). Local art throughout the hotel for purchase. Staff were hospitable and kind. We would love to visit again another year.

We had a lovely stay at The Oak Hotel and would rate it a 10! If we ever visit Nelson again, we would definitely choose your hotel. And will recommend it to friends and family. It was clean, inviting, the room was well thought out. The shower was amazing. Loved the breakfast options that were available and the use of the communal fridge and eating area. All staff were friendly and helpful. Thank you!

The Oak Hotel was a great pick for our trip to Nelson, BC. We stayed 3 nights in a single queen room. It was simple in a nice way and very clean and comfortable. The bathroom was had high end finishes and the rainfall shower was perfect. My wife really liked the lemon grass body wash (we forgot to buy some from the front desk). The location is perfect for walking Baker street, which is full of nice restaurants and enjoyable bars (hit the happy hours). The Oak has a simple breakfast, but that is all you really need before taking out for the day. Lastly, the staff were genuine and polite. The one that checked us in gave some great tidbits on what we could do and we checked in with her each night, just to say “hi”. It is a small hotel that offers bike storage and a game room. 10/10 for sure.

We enjoyed our stay at Oak Hotel. It is all brand new, nicely decorated and excellent value. We booked a King room which provided lots of space for our 2 bags and a mini fridge to cool our beverages. The bed, pillows and linens were very luxurious & comfortable. Towels are fluffy and soft. The bathroom toiletry amenities are Rocky Mountain Soap Company which have fabulous products. The lighted anti fogging mirror in the bathroom is a lovely touch! Coffee/tea is provided in the room. The location is ideal for exploring lovely Nelson BC.

Took my brother and wife here to celebrate his 60th birthday. We really liked staying here. It is very clean. Everything looked new in the room.
Customer service was very friendly. They answered all our questions and helped us to decide what to do on a rainy summer day. The location was very good. We could walk to shops and dinner.
If you stay on a Tuesday night beware of the street parking. You will have to move your car early in the morning or put money in the car meter. II believe, the parking meter only accepts coins.
We were prepared and didn't mi d it.
We were exited that when we checked out that we were able to go to the Farmers Market. It is located literally on the street in front of the hotel.
I will definitely stay here again.

This hotel used to be called the Mountain Hound. The owners have completed an amazing renovation. The attention to detail is second to none. Rooms are beautifully decorated, the bathrooms quality is as good as you would get in a 4 star hotel,|Even down to the softest towels ever. |Down stairs the room behind the reception is now a breakfast room with and excellent continental breakfast.|Behind this room is a games room with full size pool table, board games and lots of comfortable sofas.|This is one of the best hotels i have stayed in for quality and price.|I wish the new owners all the success in the future for all their hard work.

We checked in last minute. They were happy to make room for us. We’re a family of 4. The room was very clean and comfortable but, a little on the smaller side, but we were walking distance to all the shopping and restaurants. The game room was a major bonus for us, it allowed for our small children (5 and 3) to burn off some steam before heading back to our room for the night.
The beds were very cozy, the AC unit was outstanding ( we woke up in the morning saying the room was an ice box.. just the way we like to sleep)
The bathroom was very cute and nicely decorated. Something that stood out for me as a woman who wears make up was the black facecloths! No need to worry about staining those fresh white cloths.
The soaps were also very nice. Loved the smell and how it made my skin feel. I wanted to purchase some at the front desk but forgot on my way out.
The breakfast was your typical continental hotel breakfast but absolutely zero complaints!
I highly recommend this hotel if you’re looking for a cozy place to stay.
