Inn bien entretenu. Chambre confortable, mais zéro service. Accueil très expéditif. Si vous voulez des informations, alors référez-vous au cartable, et si vous avez besoin de parler à quelqu’un, et bien bonne chance. Nous avons essayé à plus de cinq reprises de contacter une personne pour acheter du café supplémentaire. Pas de réponse. Le déjeuner “inclus” est à partir de 9 h 00 !!! Nous sommes vraiment déçus.

Disons le tout net, voici un hôtel acceptable pour une étape, pas plus, et à condition d'arriver de nuit !!!||En effet, l'hôtel à vue sur un complexe industriel qui ne cesse de recracher ses bouffées de nuages blancs dans le ciel. Paysage hallucinant, limite apocalyptique, à faire fuir tous les amoureux de la nature et même des paysages urbains ou à faire accourir les amateurs de tourisme industriel. Bref à éviter!!! Un cauchemar!!!||La patronne, consciente du souci posé par sa localisation, se donne beaucoup de mal pour accueillir convenablement ,et avec le sourire, ses clients. Chambre décoré avec goût dans un style "old england". Equipement récent et fonctionnel. Petite télé lecteur-DVD, frigo,...Petit déjeuner plutôt copieux mais servi sur la terrasse en face de l'usine...pas terrible pour la mise en appétit...!!!||Bref nous sommes repartis heureux de......partir. Une pensée encore pour la gentillesse de la patronne qui module ses prix en conséquence. A vous de voir.

This unique heritage property offers charm, comfort, and a real sense of history—all in a welcoming atmosphere.||Highlights of My Stay:||Historic Character: The inn is full of personality, with beautiful architectural details and a warm, nostalgic feel that reflects its roots as a 1939 courthouse.||Comfortable Room: The room I stayed in was quiet, clean, and thoughtfully decorated—perfect for a relaxing and restful stay.||Delicious Breakfast: Breakfast at Edie Rae’s Café was a real treat—fresh, well-prepared, and served in a charming setting.||Genuine Hospitality: I had the pleasure of meeting Kelly Belanger, the owner. His warm and friendly approach really made me feel at home and added a personal touch to the visit.||Great Location: Situated in the historic Townsite area, it’s an ideal base to explore Powell River’s coastal charm, trails, and local gems like Townsite Brewing.||Final Thoughts:|If you’re looking for a stay with character, comfort, and a personal touch, I highly recommend The Old Courthouse Inn. I truly appreciated the care and attention that went into every part of the experience—and I look forward to returning.

You will enjoy the old courthouse Inn in Powell River if you tend toward quaint historic buildings and artifacts. The included breakfast was great! My room overlooks the water and the defunct pulp mill. The building is 3 floors with no elevator. Coming in requires you walking up 2 flights for reception. The hallways are filled with antiques, old photos and bric-a-brac. The well equipped rooms are small and old fashioned. You hang your clothes in a wardrobe rather than a closet. The bathrooms are old fashioned and don't have much counterspace. The shower stalls are excellent with good hot water, lots of pressure. Experiencing history is nice but comes with a few drawbacks. The walls are not very soundproof and you can hear other guests. I was also woken up by a dog barking. Old buildings need more maintenance and I think this building is due for electrical upgrades. I plugged in my phone and it told me to check the connection. I also saw the lights flicker when a motor started up. One electrical outlet didn't work at all. Staying here is an interesting experience but once was enough.

Coming from Vancouver Island, the Courthouse was a great place to start our tour of the Sunshine Coast. We spent two very comfortable nights. The decor showed the historic times of the hotel and region. The rooms had up to date plumbing, fixtures and comfortable beds. Definitely worth revisiting.

Bed was comfortable,shower was excellent and was quiet. Fresh with no fragrances.The breakfast was great that was provided with room stay, especially the homemade biscuits. Very unique hotel. We ate at Monks on Marine and had an excellent meal.

Just a wonderful experience at the Old Courthouse Inn. Incredible history and charm at the centre of the old town site. The breakfast ( included with the room) at Edie Rae’s was absolutely delicious. Will definitely be back as it is reason enough to visit PR again.

We booked this hotel through Expedia but unfortunately, due to an issue with Expedia, we arrived to find that we had no reservation and the hotel was full. Apparently, this has been happening with Expedia bookings recently so I wouldn't book through them until it's fixed!! Book directly with the hotel instead.
However, Kelly, who was working the front desk of the hotel, was amazing!! He was very apologetic, even though it was not the hotel's fault, and he helped us find new accommodation near by. He even covered breakfast at the hotel for us the next day - which was delicious!!
If I came back to Powell River, I would definitely stay at this hotel since their service was top notch and it looked very cute from what we go to see of it. Great breakfast too. Thanks Kelly!!!
