We had a great day on the Bow river thanks to The Paddle Station. Throughout the booking process and upon our arrival everything went smoothly. The young ladies who checked us in were enthusiastic and made sure we knew everything we needed to make this adventure successful. I do agree with some of the other posts that the life jackets need updated. Most of us brought our own but some of those belonging to the Paddle Station seemed worn and ragged. A great way to enjoy your 65th birthday celebration 🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️

The booking process was simple, with helpful reminders and clear instructions for the start and end locations. Unfortunately, the equipment was in very poor condition. The life jackets were smelly and unusable, and the inflatable boat was muddy and filled with water, making the experience unpleasant. When we raised this with staff, they explained it had been a busy weekend and they hadn’t had time to clean. Since we went on Wednesday, after a long weekend, there was more than enough time to properly sanitize the gear for the next customers. It felt like just grab the money was more important than making sure that a nice experience was provided to people.

We had a great time rafting for our first experience! The reservation process was simple, and the location was easy to find. The guides made everything feel safe and fun. The only thing that could be improved would be a clean bathroom near the start. Overall, a really fun outing and we’d definitely recommend it!

Great experience on Canada Day with my son. Very quickly dealt with in check-in, we had our life vests, safety brief and then off we went! The equipment provided was great although if you are a single adult and child, it is somewhat difficult to paddle by yourself with a slightly wider 2-6 person small boat that we had. The ride was smooth and relaxing. Lovely sights along the Bow River - we even got to see the Canadian Pacific railway freight train go by so nice timing there. We were collected at the end promptly and with a smile. Great service will do again in future.

Reservations online were easy, staff at put in and takeout were plenty, friendly and attentive, safety briefing and instructions were thorough. Rented four kayaks that worked great. Had a great time on a beautiful day on the Bow River with my family. Minor concerns were that some PFDs were pretty smelly from being repeatedly wet and dried, but the important part was they were available and functional. If that sort of thing bothers you too much bring your own PFD. Needed to secure a cooler and some bags of snacks on our boats, and the straps were there but knotted vs having working buckles or adjustability. Consider bringing a couple carabiners, straps or bungees if you have gear you want to secure. It was a busy beautiful day so parking can get pretty creative but was able to find a space close by without issue. Took an uber back from the takeout and only had to wait five minutes for pickup, he didn’t mind we were damp from the river. Had a great day, thanks!

Generally a nice experience, well organized and the staff gave clear instructions. It would be great if there is an half hour more for allowance. In our case, we need to paddle more to meet the maximum allowable time.

My friend and I decided to enjoy the last days of summer with a double kayak excursion along the Bow River. I have to say that the Paddle Station did not disappoint and in fact, exceeded our expectations!! Excellent organization, breathtaking views and a fantastic crew. It's one of the best ways to see the city and spend some time in nature at the same time. Would definitely recommend!!!
