Highly recommend! We'll be staying here for all our future visits. The concierge team is top-notch and the level of customer service here is refreshing. Check-in was super quick, and after we settled in, concierge phoned to make sure we had everything we needed. The room was impeccably clean upon our arrival. The entire team was super friendly and knowledgeable. Hector was incredibly helpful on our check-out day. He checked us out quickly and efficiently so we could continue our travels on time. I was pleasantly surprised when i arrived for my stay. The facility was clean and welcoming. Staff was kind and professional.
The rooms were bright and clean and look like they have been renovated and updated in the last couple of years. the Showers were AMAZING!
I came into town for a family emergency and booked this place purely based on location, so i had no idea what i was walking into. I will come to stay again, this time for the service and the stay.

Adjusting for the small, and cozy vibe of Sechelt, this entirely met my expectations. The bed and pillows were clean and fresh. The room was small but matched well with the price. I’ll stay there again, which is really the ultimate question.

Had a wonderful stay during second week of April, at Hotel Purpose Bay in Sechelt! The location is peaceful and scenic, perfect for a relaxing getaway. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything we needed. A special shoutout to Sagar, who went above and beyond to make our stay memorable . He was incredibly helpful, friendly, and made us feel truly welcome. Thanks to the great service and beautiful surroundings, we’ll definitely be coming back!

Excellent location beside the lighthouse pub & on the ocean front. Duck pond across the street and walking trails.

Beds were super comfy. Rooms freshly updated and look amazing. Very clean.
The gentleman behind the front desk was super kind and very friendly.

The worst experience I have ever had with a hotel by far. The manager is the rudest person I have ever met. ||The rooms are very dirty and nothing like their photos online. After I checked out the real reviews online I realized all the photos and reviews here are not real. The rooms were so disgusting, we asked to check out early and the manager refused to let us go. He said we must pay for the entire stay we booked and was being so nasty. He was yelling on the phone, talked loudly over me when I try to talk, and then hung up on me. He kept arguing that I should have never booked on 3rd party websites. Eventually I asked the travel agency to deal with him and finally he said we can go, except we have to pay a fee. We agreed because we were so scared, the entire experience felt like dealing with a criminal instead of a proper business. Then later when the travel agency call them again, he said he never said we can go, we have to pay for the entire stay we booked. ||After a lot of "discussions", the travel agent managed to get us a refund. I will never stay here again and have warned others to stay away from this property. We have many business trips to Sechelt after this and we now book a hotel at Gibsons which is 20 minutes away but is way better than anything you can find in Sechelt. Oceanside Villa and Oceanside hotel at Sechelt are all owned by the same owner / manager. STAY AWAY Or you will regret it.

Room seems to have been renovated recently. Theres no lock on the window, its being held up by a stick which isnt technically considered safe for a ground floor room.

5 stars, not because it’s super fancy or anything - but it’s a nice clean hotel with comfortable beds, friendly staff willing to accommodate early check-ins, and an incredible oceanfront location with grassy area and duck pond next door. Everything you need for a short stay.
