Recently went to France with Trafalgar and my experience was amazing! All the details were taken care of, I literally just had to show up. It was the least stressed I've ever been going on a vacation. The Travel Director was very knowledgeable and he took us to see quite a few hidden gems that you wouldn't normally see if you were vacationing by yourself. 11/10 would travel with them again!

Rome & Tuscan Highlights - amazing!
I had been to Italy before on other trips (independently and with a tour group) and I never saw/did half the stuff as on this one. Trafalgar makes your vacation an ease and takes care of everything, so you just get to enjoy.
The food was incredible, the included meals always had lots of local wine and we had the most delicious olive oil ever at a local family's house for dinner. I don't know how you would ever do that on your own, and it wouldn't be the same without the group.
My favorite experiences were the VIP entry into the Bramante staircase, other groups wanted to get in! Also the Colosseum guided tour, I learned so much. I want to do it again since they've added a private tour and dinner at the Vatican which sounds amazing!
If you're thinking of doing Italy, do a Trafalgar, there's no better way!

We just took our 3rd trip with Trafalgar, and will do so again! Best way to travel worry free, they make sure you see all the important sights but also provide hidden gems... places you likely would NEVER have known about or found on your own!

I am writing a review of a recent trip I took with a friend and family members, Scotland's Highlands, Islands and Cities tour with Trafalgar. There is no direct link on the Trafalgar site to post my personal review. It looks like reviews are vetted by a third company. Hmmmm - are reviews selected and posted strategically to keep score ratings high? Based on our experience, the answer is yes.
First, the positive - The coach and driver were wonderful. Some hotels were good - clean, bathroom fixtures worked, service staff accommodating and helpful. Tour guides were informative.
Now the negative. Remaining hotels on this trip we would rate a 1/5 - dirty floors, broken fixtures, very dusty, broken locks. Meals included throughout the trip were mediocre at best. Our tour guide was tired, disinterested, and constantly disappeared. Our optional experiences were overpriced and constantly rushed. There was no time to leisurely roam and take in the sites. In several cases, there were other highly publicized activities taking place at the optional site therefore we could not tour the area and were simply dropped off and told to stroll the boardwalk as all shops and tourist attractions were closed. The Loch Lomond tour was simply 3 circles around one small section of the lake. So disappointing. Scotland was the star - gorgeous scenery and people - but the tour was very disappointing. Never again will we take a Trafalgar tour.

I had the pleasure of going on the Best of Devon and Cornwall Trip with Trafalgar in June. This was my first Coach tour experience and it was phenomenal. I had heard about early mornings with this type of travel, but found I was up early anyways, and "early" to depart was generally around 8:00am. I also was worried that we would be following around the Tour Guide with the Flag, but this wasn't the case at all. 90% of the stops we made, we were given free time to explore the area on our own, which was fantastic. We had special VIP Entrance to the Roman Baths, so we didn't have to wait in line! Trafalgar also had the Be My Guest Experience which was great as it gave us the chance to meet lovely locals in their place of business, which was their farmstead. We were treated to some great stories about their homestead and business, followed by a delicious lunch of the traditional Cornish Pasties and Cream Tea! Our Travel Director was awesome. Full of wonderful stories that I wouldn't have had if I was driving on my own. Having the Travel Director helps you to really understand the area which is rich in history and culture. You also see so much of the destination that you wouldn't see if you were travelling on your own. My experience with Trafalgar was Fantastic and I would not hesitate again to go on another Trafalgar Trip!

i recently took the Vietnam experience, which a lot of time was wasted on waiting for others. We lost approximately 6 to 7 hrs within the trip. There were many travelers that didn’t follow the schedule. Along with even are tour guide himself was late getting onto the bus. He wasn't late very often, but he  continued to give people extra time where many people, including myself, were on time. Depending on the day he'd give the travelers that were late up to 20-45mins to get to the bus or meet up point.There were a lot of partying , even to the point in which Smithy permitted about a dozen large balloons on the bus which took up space where we could no longer have are own seat, and like usual those that drank in that fashion had a hangover. This led to having to take several breaks for people to sit down. Unfortunately, our tour guide encouraged going to bar after bar. Buying shots and even getting a large bottle of liquor from the bar and applied it to travelers mouth including mine in which i said NO im all set, and then i was asked again. There were so many breaks that it prevented us from seeing everything we were supposed to see. Some of the things we missed time doing were the excursions, which as your aware is paid out of pocket and not included in the trip. Attached are some photos to give whom ever is reading this a better idea. As for the hotels all but one hotel was a disaster. From mold build up, air conditioners not working, hardly any hot water, and at the Hanoi LaRosa hotel my bed along with my roommates bed were side by side . There was no gap between the beds or anything. I have never experienced that and was very uncomfortable being that close to someone. Attached are some photos of what I've mentioned to give a better idea of what went on. I'm disappointed in the unprofessionalism, wasted time waiting on others, and the vast majority of hotels stayed in. My reply from this company after these issues I was offered a " good will offer" of 5% off of my next trip. Talk about a joke!

Simply the best way to travel! I just finished "Italian Holidays" with Trafalgar Tours and it is by far my best travelling experience. The itinerary was a bit fast faced but that's the reason I took it. It is very important to understand the trip style and it's pace before taking one. I wanted to see more in less time and I think Trafalgar did a great job in fulfilling that wish. The Travel Director was amazing at whatever he did, be it taking care or us, his knowledge about each destination we visited or his impeccable humor at keeping us entertained(which is always the hardest thing to do). The hotels were also centrally located which helped me in my quest for gelato every single night. All the local specialist were extremely knowledgeable and had answers to all my questions. This is very important for me being a history buff. I highly recommend to take all available optional experiences, since it really brings the destination to life. Optionals' do cost a little extra but it does full justice and it's completely worth it! Trafalgar's Be My Guest was my trip Highlight which I will never forget. Kudos to Trafalgar for coming up with such unique and great idea. It really sets Trafalgar apart and makes it superior for me compared to other Tour Operators. I will definitely recommend Trafalgar to my friends and to every person I have a conversation about travel.

We took the trip Vancouver to Calgary from September 14-22, 2019. Our tour guide, Lisa and driver, Darren were great. They went above and beyond to make sure our vacation was amazing. One of our tours was cancelled due to fog but they made sure we had a few extra stops to get amazing pictures and views of other lakes. Loved the rotation of seats on the bus so that we could all experience the great views of the mountains. We packed a lot of stops in this short time....which meant early morning departures but all was so worth it. Loved all the accommodations and meals provided. Fun games on the bus to keep us all entertained. A very memorable trip. We will definitely travel with Trafalgar again.
