Wonderful hotel! Had another great stay there. Visit every year for our CSIA (Canadian Ski Instructors Alliance) Northern Festival at Troll Ski Resort. Being an older building the hotel has a lot of charm and character and is in excellent condition. The rooms are very clean (recently remodelled) and beds very comfortable. And also an outdoor hot tub. It has a real upscale feel to it! They also provide a good continental breakfast with lots of choices. There is also a restaurant and pub. The staff are friendly and don’t forget to say hi to Sam who is the boss!

I happened to celebrate a New Year in Wells, it was just great and this place contributed in it as well to make it special. They have nice area in the bar, live lounge music, pretty chill environment. My wife also really liked their orange cat. They even have T-shirts with him and hotel name lol

This is an amazing little hotel that everyone should experience. Very clean and well managed. You go back 100 years but with 2025 amenities!

Accommodates small or big groups so if you are skiing in the winter or doing Barkerville in the summer make sure to make the Well’s Hotel your overnight stay.

The Wells is an icon in the area. I have stayed there before and will do so again. The bed was comfortable, the staff friendly. The food menu in the pub has been kicked up a big notch sine I was last there a few years ago. I had several excellent dinners there, and, if you like scotch, they have a huge selection second to none. The Wells is also right in the middle of town so it is convenient to everywhere in town. ||The included breakfast is simple but includes all you need for a good start for your day. The only challenge I had this time was that I was in the one inside room which does not have a window so it was warm and I suspect that during a Cariboo heat wave it would have been very challenging. However, there is only one room like this and I had to change my booking last minute so I was happy to have a room period. All the other rooms have windows that open.

Lovely! The history of this lovely hotel is present in every room. Nicely complimented by modern amenities that fit with the theme and experience! A perfect place for a romantic getaway or business trip. Minutes away from a live theatre. The pub and resturant creates yet another great experience. A must place to add to your itinerary!

I was here on work. This is a quaint place to stay. Nicely painted. Room was clean. I was sharing with my colleague as there wasn't enough vacancy for each to his own. Not sure that it was ideal for sharing. More so ideal if you are visiting Wells to experience the community culture. Wishing Wells the best. Hope to be back visiting as a tourist. Thanks for the stay, I did sleep well. The fan did keep me cool. I was glad no one used the hot tub just outside the window.

This hotel is minutes away from historic Barkerville. It’s a modest old hotel that has been updated where possible. |Our room #3 had two twin beds plus they squeezed in a cot for the youngest family member. Very small room, but it had all we needed, including good linens, good shower, USB ports and even bathrobes to wear to the rooftop hot tub. |Continental breakfast was white bread or bagels, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, tea, coffee… so not too exciting but got us started on our day.|The family friendly pub attached through the lobby had very good meal choices, excellent friendly service, plus a pool table, lots of board games to use. A great place to unwind after a day exploring Barkerville. Big kudos for that!|The town of Wells deserves some time as well: colourful buildings (old and newer), murals, funky shops and friendly people. |We enjoyed our stay, especially because of the great caring staff at the hotel.

It’s an old hotel with squeaky wooden floors. But everything was clean and in working order. The staff were polite and friendly. We enjoyed the friendly hotel cat Sam.

The Saloon was excellent with excellent service, prices, food and drink selection, pool table and games. We enjoyed the atmosphere touches like the wooden disks, piano, and old maps and pictures. I’m looking forward to going back.
