Highly unreliable. So if you're trying to catch a bus, make sure to use their app. It's the only way they'll tell you if it's canceled, but it might also just be canceled. The times have gotten increasingly longer between buses over the past 10 years as the price has gone up. This is a disservice to the city and its citizens. Quite frankly, it's so dangerous to walk around this city because of drivers. It is unnecessary tool for a lot of people. I want to give this five stars because I very much enjoy public transportation and public services in general. This service only serves about 50% of the time and they're usually out of drivers because they don't pay them enough money

I'm from a third world country, and I've never seen such shitty bus service even there.
how do you justify leaving 15 minutes ahead of scheduled time and cancelling all the buses in the middle of the night? And taking off mocking people without opening doors?

Half the time the buses don’t show up when they are supposed to. You’re at a stop, watching the map where it shows the real time tracking of your bus or you’re just watching the countdown until the bus is supposed to get there and suddenly it’s gone and the next bus is in 20 min or 40 min, or whatever depending on the route. My daughter had to start leaving an hour before she had to be at work just to make it on time and it’s only a 20 minute bus ride. This was at a quiet little art shop in port arthur and she started work when it opened. When she went early she would have to stand outside and wait. Lovely for a young girl to be standing in port arthur alone on a main street early in the morning.

I don’t take the bus anymore but I used to and have written 2 other reviews about racist treatment from bus drivers and they’ve somehow disappeared. I’ve also read multiple other reviews about being profiled and denied access onto the busses while white people were let on but for some reason I can’t find those anymore either. Not sure if this is a google issue or a TBCT issue, but there needs to be some sort of vetting process with bus drivers because the treatment I received and I’m sure my fellow people of colour continue to receive is absolutely unacceptable. I’ve also witnessed drivers refusing the lower the bus for older and disabled people. Drivers are lazy and prejudiced and it’s sickening. Genuinely only had polite experiences with the other coloured drivers and maybe 3 white drivers, with my experiences ranging from bus lines 1, 2, 5, 8, 9, and 10.

The executives and managers and supervisors and transit need to all be fired and hire someone new. Today I went to Safeway I use a power chair and I sat and waited for the bus for over an hour. They had cancelled 2 buses. Then when one finally came the driver drove right past me opened the door and others were wondering why he wasn't putting ramp down didn't say a thing to me about being full but when I went over said was full. Only one chair was in the bus a lady sitting in wheelchair spot who didn't move. I was waiting again. So as I waited another 45 minutes or so the bus was cancelled again. It was over 2 hours I sat and waited for the bus. This is a daily thing. They need to start protecting those in power chairs or wheelchairs more because they think it's okay to let someone sit there and wait for over 2 hours because they cancelled buses. They need to separate the wheelchair spots instead of let people sit on them have the rest available to sit closer to the front for other disabled. They don't at all protect those in power chairs at all. Over 2 hours I waited due to cancelled buses. The drivers I am guessing from the grievances they have with the higher ups let you know in there own way by doing little things being very cold or other things have been done I have experienced letting you know as they see you as the problem and make you feel that you are the cause of the problems. It's time the city fire all executive managers Nd supervisors all go and let someone else in that will actually fix the problem. This is not okay it's a city service and it has been shot to the moon. I was literally feeling like driving off and it was cold out but don't care that you have been out there. I so was at my end I am sick I am hurting with not being well out in that cold for so so long. And would have had to wait longer with no idea when I would even get a bus and had to call a cab. I am physically not well from being out there so long in the cold. I so hope it doesn't end up in a hospital visit. As well their lift is one of the most difficult things to get a ride on. When you have a cold or whatever the dr wants to see you at end of that day they have said in the past we will help you oh we may be able to help I would like to suggest before you say that I mention you should yourself try it. It's not that easy or fun. They just say no and that's it. I would suggest that maybe you yourself should try to book a ride maybe 2 or 3 and then you will then understand and know what is going on. Same with the bus maybe to see from riders prospective you go out any time then stand there as transit cancels 2 buses in a row so everyone stands or has to sit and wait for over an hour then you might then see what is wrong you will actually see what is happening. Thunder Bay transit is horrendous to use and experience. We aren't in a Florida climate.

Some drivers are awesome and kind enough to wait. There are a few that bring their bad day to work and it’s very off putting.

Above all I have had mostly good experiences, the occasional argument witnessed but it’s always taken care of.

Thanks to the city bus drivers who are kind and very helpful, drive safe and get home safe everyday.

Chivalry is barely existent, none of the youngsters give up their seat if someone in need has to sit down
 let’s do better đŸ‘đŸœ

I realize the Transit management won't bother reading this since it pertains to their jobs, but I just paid the 90$ for the bus pass on the lift pass only to then learn my bus to work is cancelled.

What's the point of updating the fare system if you guys can't even put buses on the road?

Absolute chaos, always late. No accountabilities. Who ever planned the route never took the bus in his life. I wish i could give a minus star review. They dont deserve a star. Again 3m make it late to city hall have to wait 40 mins for next 8. Bravo
