I first moved to Calgary in 1972 PPCLI, then Edmonton Canadian Airborne Regiment lived in Alberta 30 years. I am a veteran and I joined the military because I felt I needed to do something. I found freedom is important and traveled the world and I am so happy to be Canadian. But now a town has decided to BAN PROUD FLAGS. I am far from being gay but now Westlock joins Russia by banning the flag, as a free Canadian you embarrass me, What you have done is shamfull and shame on you…

No wheelchair access inside the building? How can you claim to be about inclusivity, if people with disabilities have to use stairs or a small, difficult to use service elevator? What good is the ramp outside, if people can’t go any further than the front door inside? Perhaps you should focus on that before paintings?

It's a shame the Karen's and bigots won the recent plebiscite, forcing the town to remove theLGBTQ crosswalk and ban any other inclusivity flag from being flown. Definitely makes people think twice about working / moving to Westlock. It's also going to make some services harder to cover as some of us stop picking up extra shifts to come help the town.

Too bad the good folks let the bigots win and didnt vote. This is a wake-up call that everyone needs to exercise their right to vote or face having the bigots win because they voted.

I appreciate the response from the staff at the town hall. But since the citizenry let this happen and didn't exercise their right to vote. Then quite frankly Westlock as a town has let this happen.

I am familiar with the process around the bylaw and vote. The fact that this still happened is disgraceful and disheartening.

Perhaps as the services/businesses abandon Westlock and it starts to die like so many small towns have they might realize their errors. There is always a chance to course correct but I suspect all that will happen is it turns into a little pocket of hate full of Karen's and Bigots. Eventually they won't have any fast food and as the population shrinks less government services will be offered. I suspect the doctor shortage is about to get worse as some abandon Westlock as they should.

Open for business. Setting up a new business in Westlock, so met with administration and was not expecting the acceptance we received. Having multiple businesses in multiple communities Westlock was prepared for business with the attitude "lets find a way". Other communities should take some lessons from Westlocks planning and development group.

Personal experience is they are great to deal with, they are willing to sit down and work with people to get results. Great community to be apart of

If they actually follow through with removing the propoganda after the vote, 5 stars.
