Trophy Lodge - Yellowknife, Northwest Territories

I and my group had an amazing time at Trophy Lodge, during our July 2025 visit. The fishing was excellent, the service was exceptional, and the lodge was amazing! Prior to arriving, we had good communication on what to bring and how to be prepared for the conditions and how to fish up in the Northwest Territories on Great Slave lake. Upon arriving to the airport, we were met by one of the owners who took time to drive us around town to help get all of our provisions that we needed. The great customer service made our trip exceptional! During our stay, one of the owners was there with his family, and they made sure everything we needed was provided . One of our members in our group had a birthday and his wife took the time to bake a cake. Just unbelievable, super nice kind and helpful folks at the lodge! We never had to put gas on our boat or launch it on our own, as there were helpful
People there to help us with all of our needs and ensured we had the safety items we needed. We were greeted with a smile upon our daily fishing and asked to share pictures and stories. Not only for our party, the other groups that were fishing had a great time as well.
If you're thinking about catching trout and staying at an amazing place in the NORTHWEST TERRITORIES, you can't do any better, then TROPHY LODGE!! I know I will be going back!

Visited Trophy Lodge with my 9 year old daughter, my sister and her 12 year old son

From the beginning of the trip we were met at the float place base and welcomed

Float plane ride was incredible - lots of great scenery

Arriving at the lodge we were again welcomed by the owner Andrew. Andrew took care of anything we needed during our trip and made sure our questions were answered promptly. He also saw us off each morning and met us at the dock upon arrival back at camp after each day of fishing.

The cabins were great and had all the amenities of home.

Andrew also made sure that he gave us numerous fishing spots so that we were always on fish. All the spots were also really close to camp, didn’t have to go far.

Fishing was better than I could have ever imagined. We lake trout fish in Northern Ontario all the time and will say the fishing at at Trophy Lodge was far better. We had lots of action daily

After day 2, the kids decided that they would only get a picture with their fish if it was over 20 pounds ! That goes to show you the quality of the fishing

The Grayling fishing was also very fun in the evenings. We also saw the muskox on shore one day while out fishing !

I would recommend Trophy Lodge to anyone looking for an amazing fishing experience or event just a relaxing vacation !

Trophy Lodge was an amazing experience for my whole family. The atmosphere was very relaxed and the staff were super helpful. The fishing cannot be compared and we even got to see Muskox. If you are thinking of an amazing vacation in Canada, you could not do better than the Lodge.

All I can say is if you can go, go. This place was a bucketlist item for us and worth every penny. So many places to fish guided by the owners, hiked into a beautiful falls, lots of history and fun fish tails to hear about. If you are an avid fisher and outdoor enthusiast this is definitely a place to come, Trophy Lodge for the win. Thank you Ryan, Pascal, Randy and Shelley and of course little miss Mackenzie. It is a magical place that heals the soul. Memories to last a lifetime. If we could give more stars we would.

We really enjoyed our 2 night stay at the Lodge! We arrived in our own boat and they had a safe location for it to be anchored, the cabins were clean and comfortable and the lodge team were very hospitable and accommodating! The trout were plenty and so were the Muskox sightings!

I’ve been to Trophy Lodge 3 times now. Fishing is phenomenal , both in numbers and in size. The camp is one of the best maintained camps I’ve been to and the cabins are fantastic. Boats are in very good shape and motors are excellent running Honda 4 strokes.Boats are equipped with new Garmin map charts & fish finders.The history of the camp and surrounding area is amazing.Camp staff and the camp owners are great people. You can’t go wrong with Trophy Lodge.

Trophy is a very special place! World class trout and arctic grayling fishing!! The Lodge and sleeping accommodations are great and always clean. The owners of Trophy do a great job running and hosting you during your stay. They always put their anglers first during your stay and give you lots of runway to do your thing. I have been coming to this Lodge for over 25+ years and it never disappoints. The prisitne scenery, awesome fishing and Nothern Lights are truly something to experience. I don't often give ratings on places, but this particular Lodge deserves the 5 stars. Anytime your measuring your fish in pounds versus inches... How can you ever pass up the opportunity to fish the East Arm of Great Slave Lake and more importantly stay at Trophy. Thank to owners for taking over lodge from Wallace to continue the fishing legacy started by his family in one of the hidden gems of the North.

If you are looking for a great place to fish and explore in NWT, this is the place for you. We chose Trophy Lodge because we like our independence and doing our own thing on our own schedule. It feels like an all inclusive, because of the attention to detail that the owners and staff give you; however, you cook and fish by yourselves, with tremendous guidance from the staff. Any questions you have prior to your trip are promptly answered.
(Everything from fishing tips to getting around Yellowknife prior to you departure to the Lodge) The fishing was great, but there is so much more to see around Trophy Lodge. Will go again!
