I had an amazing hike today to the falls. So incredibly beautiful. I enjoyed every minute. It's too bad the place doesn't officially open until June 1. It was a gorgeous day, there's no snow up there, it was quiet and serene. Good for the soul.

Lost a star because the gates are locked, and there are 3 campers, including myself at the gate. And there is 2 trucks and a car at the rec site behind the locked gates camping. Forcing a lot of us to make the 2km hike up to the rec site to find out there is people camping there anyway. Cute little campsite beside a nice loud creek. Beautiful easy drive on paved road. Hike up is super easy to the viewpoint. But I avoided the trail further up after heavy rain, because of the muddy section. And have no clue where the glacier trail starts. Amazing views, majestic waterfalls!

If you drive all the way to the top of the road and get there early enough, the camping sites here are wonderful and shaded. They were well maintained and well stocked with firewood when I was there, and right off the campsite is a short trail to a viewing platform to see the twin falls merge. Even the drive up is beautiful and scenic. The sound of the creek plays like a sleep aid soundtrack.

This was a beautiful hike on a well maintained trail. We went as far as the picnic table a bit past the viewing platform. The trail goes up a small steep canyon with many tall waterfalls along the walls. Two waterfalls were larger, and so it’s named “Twin Falls”. The trail follows the small creek and you get many chances to see the rushing water flowing down the mountain. The road to the parking area and small campground was excellent. No potholes and wide enough to pass oncoming vehicles.

About a 15 min walk to the platform, then another 5-8 minutes past the platform to another picnic area.
Beautiful falls! The 5 campsites were full. Can’t wait to come back in the winter ❄️

Saw a sign so I took the detour!
The road up to Twin Falls is nice and paved, motorcycles welcomed! I could just catch glimpses of the falls and was getting excited about my decision to detour. Recommend some good hikers as the path was affected by flooding and there's avalanche warning signs too.
But man oh man is the hike worth the views! There's even a few more smaller falls, that over time I can see them too becoming large enough for it to be named Triple or even Quad Falls.

An amazing Park just a short distance from Smithers BC. Plenty of parking at the trail head, which also has some camping. Pit tickets are provided.
A short hike from the parking area brings you to amazing views of the falls, as well as the river. There are plenty of benches along the trail, and a viewing platform. The trail does not go to the bottom of the falls, but another trail branches off and leads to the Glacier.
The Twin Falls trail is an easy hike, even for kids.

Here you go! There are actually 4 falls when you get to the view platform! Gorgeous fall color mix. Watch out the steps while the trail is partially destroyed by the flood.
