Our first time to travel by Go train, weekend it can offer some discount that better for the round trip. Go train is connected with Via, should be look carefully for the sign.

Via Rail Oakville is a convenient and reliable station for travelers heading across Canada. The station is clean and well-maintained, with staff who are friendly and helpful.

It's easy to navigate, perfect for commuting to Toronto or embarking on a longer journey.

Parking and accessibility are thoughtfully designed, there’s also a multi-story parking garage available at the south side of the station.

The waiting area is pleasant, and the schedule is usually dependable, making it a trustworthy choice for rail travel.

Small station and the staff was really helpful and clarified all the queries that I had. It was my first train travel in Canada and I really enjoyed it. One concern I had was the train was delayed about an hour and other than that the track and car signs were clearly mentioned. Only one staff was there in the station and the employee was really nice to response to everyone questions.

Okay to pickup out of town guests. However, people coming off of trains need to take an elevator down to lower level walk 200 meters and a second elevator up to ground level. Very awkward doing this with luggage. Old looking and dirty.

The station is well maintained all the time .

The staff are amazing, information is posted everywhere plus there is washrooms inside .

Tim hortons nearby at 111 cross ave And McDonald’s too .

Plus a big parking lot so if u want to park , there is tons of space.

The Via Rail station at Oakville is the most confusing station I have ever been in.
I waited on Platform 2 , along with a young family of 4, for the train to London. A couple of minutes before arrival of the expected train, a rep walking along the platform announced a different city destination for the incoming train. When we questioned her, she very brusquely stated the Go train doesn't go to London, and continued on her way with a roll of her eyes.
I am a senior with mobility issues. The young couple was carrying a baby and tons of luggage. If the Via train hadn't been 25 minutes late, we would not have made it on time.
It was difficult finding out where we were, let alone finding the correct platform. At minimum, directional signs are required at this station. Ex: Via Rail Platform 2, Go Train Platform 2, etc. It also wouldn't hurt to hire staff trained in customer service. The elevators being out of service didn't improve my experience, having to go up and down several long flights of stairs, with heavy luggage, to find the correct platform. I did not deduct review points for the unfortunate coincidence of having no adequate accessibility options for myself, the young family and countless other (high-)paying customers. The price Via charges is definitely not worth the poor service and inconvenience.
I will be travelling via our superior bus service in future.

I just want to say, the gentleman working here this morning (Jan 26) was so kind, patient and helpful. I'm sure he was just doing his job, but I appreciated him walking us through to the platform. Helped cut down the nerves for a first time traveler.
