. The girls went above and beyond. I had a room with coffee but no coffee pot. There are no hair blowers in the rooms. We are standing here waiting for the restaurant to open because it opens at 11. That makes no sense considering we are in a hotel! Better management is needed

The person working the front desk was very unfriendly and had no empathy. We talked over the phone, she was aggressive and unhelpful. They need better staffing. Had to sleep in the car overnight. Wanted to charge us for a full night even though more than half the night was already gone. Do better, Viking Inn staff, we are really disappointed in you.

Not sure how to rate this place... The bathroom door wouldn't close, no screen in the window, the television didn't work, only lukewarm water out of the taps in the morning and warm-ish water by afternoon. It looks like they tried to renovate parts of the room at some point but it really just amounted to putting lipstick on a pig.
On a positive note, the staff was very friendly, the bed was comfortable and even though dated and worn-out, I felt the place was quite clean. We were charged $100.80 cdn (taxes included) for the night and so clearly the owners know the hotel's deficiencies and charge accordingly. I think that we got what we paid for and for this reason, have no issues giving it 3 stars.

Its very outdated. Its missing standard items that are in every room hotel room. No body wash or shampoo. No hairdryer. No box of kleenex. No blankets. No coffee or cups. No phone. Room service is very poor. I was told there are no blankets and have live with it. Called the owner but still no blanket. No screen on the window. Would not recommend this place. I was told my bedspread was my blanket. Room walls are paper thin as you can hear all the noise from other rooms. Room was not cheap. I was not given the wifi they say they have wifi online but I think it doesn't exist just used data on my phone. Carpets were dirty. Matterss and bed spring box are badly stained with various stains and is very filthy. Shower water was cold.

The place was disgusting. Dirty beds with blood in the sheets. Food on the wall. Dirt and hair in the bathroom. There was old coffee in the complementary coffee machine. We went for a wedding at the main hotel and when we got back to the room we decided to leave. We asked for a refund or a reduced rate since we didn't stay and they didn't return any calls or deal with the problems. I will never return there again and warm anyone away in the future.

Absolutely traumatic experience! Avoid this place if at all possible l! Staff was really rude and don't even have clean towels available, nor did they have soap or shampoo in the rooms & our roomed smelled so bad we weren't sure what the stench was, we think it was cigarette smoke mixed with something like dirty underwear! We wanted out as soon as we walked in the room! Disgusting place. I don't think they have room attendants who clean very well, if at all! Not to mention the people next door were having sex so loud it was extremely disturbing. We left practically after entering the room! Wasted time & 90 bucks! Don't bring your kids to this place you will regret doing so! Wouldn't recommend this place to a single soul!

The room was small and clean, but could definitely use some updates. The mini fridge worked well, and kept our food we bought at the supermarket next door nice and cold for breakfast the next morning. The hallway had a musty, stale cigarette odor and the WiFi was slow and flaky, but the staff was very friendly. We were only visiting overnight, so for the money we paid it was decent enough.

Very modest, average motel. Simple accommodation with the basic ammenities - everything you's expect from a small-town motel. Easy access to the Hwy, and to downtown Gimli. The only other significant hotel, much more desirable, is right on the beach/lakefront in downtown Gimli, and is almost always full - especially on weekends. This motel will fit the bill when needed, but shouldn't be your first choice.||Front desk lobby also happens to be the entrance to the bar and beer vendor - not a room to hang out in.||Staff was kind and friendly, although busy tending to the bar and vendor.||There is an on-site restaurant, primarily Chinese food. I only had breakfast there (not included), which was ok, but generally below average. Horrible, horrible coffee!||There is a decent indoor play structure for the little ones. I suspect the room once contained a pool by its size and proximity. Oddly, they charge $5/day for kids to play in it. I don't have kids, but the charge might explain why it was unoccupied.
