Our family had a wonderful time staying at the Rocky Point cabin in December. The hike to the cabin was particularly great as we were in the woods and saw animal tracks and enjoyed both the quiet and the sounds of birds. Highly recommend this place!

Had a wonderful 1st time experience at Von Doelers Ranch!

First off, it was easy to book our trail rides online. Especially since we were booking one day in adavance and didn't have much time to wait to hear back from other places. (many other places do bookings over the phone or by email and I'm still waiting for a response from them!)

Upon arrival everything went smoothly and instructions on getting on and off the horse were clear and helpful. I've visited many ranches before but this place was very clean and well organized. I highly reccomend checking out this ranch for horseback riding or any other of their services.

Our stay at Von Doeler's Ranch was an unforgettable experience.
The rustic cabin we stayed in offered million-dollar views that took our breath away every morning as we cooked up our breakfast on the outdoor grill. Our three boys (13,13 and 11) loved jumping and fishing off the rocks and exploring the tranquil lake in the canoe.
Our daily rides on the beautiful trails were a highlight, allowing us to experience difference horses and terrains and fully immerse ourselves in the stunning surroundings. The boys had an absolute blast sorting cattle and learning how to care for the animals, and we loved joining in on the fun too. A big shout-out to the friendly staff who made us feel like part of the ranch family, ensuring we had everything we needed.
This was truly a unique and enriching adventure for our whole family!

Had a fabulous trail ride to the lock out which was approx 1 1/2 hrs. Linda was a fabulous host, so friendly and pointed out lots of things on route. Horses were fabulous and brilliant for all levels. Linda was also kind enough to show us around the barn and let us meet the barrel horses. A thoroughly enjoyable afternoon and very much recommended

We enjoyed our 2 day stay at the Von Doeler’s Ranch a lot. The horses were trustworthy, the guides were very competent, the trails very scenic and our cabin despite no hydro or running water was wonderful. We were in good hands with Bruno and Elana and dining with them and the workers was fun. These are very hard working people who love and respect the land and what they do!

The best horses! Beautiful rides through forests and along the historic lake talon to the dam and gorge. Everything about the Von Doler’s is authentic ranch life. My two kids 17 and 21 enjoyed the horse rides each day. The staff were very knowledgeable about horses and mostly internationals from France or Germany here for a work stay. The owners look after their horses with exceptional care. I have been 4 times and never disappointed with the ride or lessons for my son when he was 12. I came back because I knew we would have a taste of the beautiful lakeside cabin life in peaceful surroundings with hosts who offer great food and a rustic cabin in the middle of forest trails. So much wildlife nearby - bears and deer and beavers around us. Good fishing lakeside and we brought kayaks to explore. Never disappointed with the caring attitude towards all animals at this place. The horses include Russian Curlies among others. Suitable for all levels of experience riding. Perfect for children and families. We made great memories together.

Such a beautiful ranch! We took 3 young kids for their first horseback rides and they loved it!! The ladies taking care of us were fantastic and made the kids feel confident. They are already asking to come back again!

Highly recommend to anyone! What a great experience! We chose the Talon Chutes trail and loved it. It was beautiful, calming and a great experience for a first time horse ride. We were a bit nervous at first, but our horses were calm and our guide was fantastic! We will definitely be back.
