Mid-October is the perfect time to catch the salmon returning, and you can see so many of them during this season. I was really looking forward to it, but unfortunately, the guards at the entrance stopped us from going in, saying there were already too many people. The strange part was that there were only two couples waiting at the entrance, so it didn’t seem that crowded. I’m not sure if this restriction is in place every day or if it was just today, but it was a bit disappointing not to be able to go in and see the salmon up close.

They close at 4:00pm but if you arrive at 3:30 Pm the door keeper won’t allows you to enter even for 5 min , this guy has a bad actitud . He should take some classes about how to treat people better than a Salmon.
This place is free and well maintained, kids will love it

The drive to get here is cool. It's paved but turns to dirt when you get to the spawning place. You can drive all the way to Pemberton if you want but it'll take about 6hrs and I'd strongly recommend a 4x4

VERY RUDE door keeper and misleading open hours.

We went to there on Thanks giving weekend, and got there at 3:35PM, the closing hour is 4PM, so we should be good to enter.
However, the bad door keeper did not let us in and kicked us out, said it closed at 3:30PM.
We have 2 kids and 1 baby and their grand parents, we drove more than 2 hours to see the salmon, he did not have any sympathy and he shoved my elder daughter out of the gate!
Bad guy your kids will be treated the same!

Free event! Best spawning creek I’ve been to yet!! Very educational and a good way to get in some fresh air,exercise and then enjoy lunch at the picnic tables located to the leg of the entry way.
