A charming log home on a quiet street. As 2 couples travelling together, we were upgraded to the apartment suite plus a queen room each with private bath on the lower floor. Very well equipped, clean, comfortable and spacious. Hosts Don and Christine were so welcoming and very helpful with regards to planning our time in a fort Smith. Breakfasts were delivered to our apartment and the food was exquisite. French crepes, fresh berry smoothies, lots of fruits, and personal tastes taken into account. Don taught us how to make The best coffee ever! Reasonably priced for the quality of accommodations provided.

If your traveling to Fort Smith NT you want to stay at the Whooping Crane Guest House. This bed and breakfast was a truly wonderful place to stay in Fort Smith, the rooms are clean and each one has it's own private bathroom. The owners are very pleasant and take a great deal of pride in their business. Every morning you can eccpect a phenomenal meal with what might be the best cup coffee in the province. The beds are comfortable and the street this B&B is on is very quiet. You truly feel like the owners will go out of their way to make you stay as stress free as possible. I would highly recommend this location to anyone.

My friend and I stayed at the Whooping Crane Guest House for 3 days during our week long trip to the NWT. Even before we had arrived, my interactions with Christine and Don via email were so pleasant and helpful. As we would be driving from Yellowknife to Fort Smith, Don provided many great resources on what to see and where to break along the way.||||We were greeted with so much love and had incredibly restful sleep during our stay. We had a separate bathroom and our room was clean, with much needed black out curtains to block out the midnight sun. The guesthouse is conveniently located to many hiking trails in Wood Buffalo National Park and is in a safe, quiet neighborhood. ||||Without a doubt, however, the best part of our stay were the delightful breakfast crepes that Christine made for us each morning and our conversations over coffee. We felt at home. While we met Christine and Don as the guesthouse owners, we left as friends! We are so grateful for such a lovely stay.

We had a very good time staying at the Whooping Crane. Don and Christine were wonderful hosts, opening their home to us. Room and bathroom were modern, clean, quiet, and very comfortable. Strong internet signal. Breakfast crepes were fabulous, the coffee was great and bottomless, and we really enjoyed the conversation at the table.

Had such a lovely time in the apartment at the Whooping Crane guest house. I stayed for 10 days on business and really enjoyed the dark, cool environment for sleeping. Christine was such a gracious host and met every need I had with courtesy and consideration. The food was delicious and exceeded my expectations.

This was a great little place to stay. My cousins and I travelled to Smith to lay our grandmother to rest. Since they had grown up in the town they had friends to stay with. I search around online for a place to stay and the cost to stay here was more in my price range. But, surprisingly, not only was it the cheapest option, but I had an entire suite as well! Full kitchen so I could cook my own meals, and a variety of provided breakfasts that were delicious too. Best place to stay in Fort Smith.

We stayed here for two nights at the beginning of September. The room was quite comfortable, with our private bath across the hall. The bed was cozy and the water in the shower was hot and with good pressure. Free satellite TV and Internet was appreciated.||||Both breakfasts included a hot dish, a bowl of fruit, and a fruit smoothie, along with coffee or tea. A tasty way to start the day.||||There was no view from our room, since it was in the basement. In fact, our window looked out onto a partly-enclosed space. I always hope for a scenic view in locations like this.
