Been using ydrive for the last three years have had next to no issues with them until recently when they changed their app……….. and their drivers. Started when I had pre-booked a driver for after work to a doctors appointment. I was two minutes late getting out of my work let the driver know I was going to be a few minutes late out. He left without even responding and just randomly canceled. Dispatch dealt with situation accordingly. A week after this situation, I was out with a few friends had pre-booked a Y Dr. home from the bar an hour before mistakenly had used the location that was already on the app instead of manually setting it. The driver went to a location 30 seconds around the corner. Then when I noted, I made a mistake about the address, driver threw a tantrum call me some very nasty names and refused to go around the corner and pick me up from the correct location.
When I had contacted dispatch, they shrugged it off and blamed me for apparently being the one who had disrespected the driver by asking them to come around the corner . Second big issue that I said I would never use ydrive again even in saying so I used ydrive after situation pre-booked an hour in advance a second tim it cancelled then yet pre-booked again just to have to wait almost 30 minutes for driver to pick up someone else while charging me the cost. Ydrive used to be an amazing company until they change their app and drivers completely. It’s been nothing but problems and disrespect since on my honour I will never be using said company ever again better off using A Cab and paying a few extra dollars to get some respect and drivers that know what they’re doing

I followed all the instructions in the emails to ensure I had the new version of the app.

I made a booking the night before, which was ACCEPTED.

The following day it became clear that my car was not coming. And support had no idea about my booking.

To allow the app to connect to a legacy version of the system and continue to accept bookings is amateur.

I can no longer rely on Y-Drive so will be moving to another ride share service. A shame because the drivers are so good.

Thanks for replying. I'm sorry to say that if your technical staff and developers are saying that this is the only solution, their incompetence is costing the business customers and costing the business money.

Waited over an hour for a car to arrive and nobody came. Reached out to the company about how this happened and wasn't even given an apology. Was simply told to "download the new app" in order for a car to arrive. That's pretty rude of a response given the fact that I ended up not going to where I needed to go. Also, how was I supposed to know that I needed to download the new app in the first place? I was not given any notification that this was required and the app I had had always worked previously. I used to love this company and I love supporting local but this has tainted my perception of them and unfortunately I will probably never use again.

Fairly new to the app, 2 rides in thus far, both of which were pre-scheduled rides.

That being said, I've really enjoyed the app so far. Both drivers arrived promptly. Both drivers were friendly and drove safely to my destinations. Driver today was also able to easily accommodate an additional stop while en-route to my destination. App is also fairly easy to navigate and use.

Would recommend.

Absolute joke and extremely unimpressed. Scheduled a pick up for 9:15am today, it’s gone through 5 different drivers and now it’s just sitting there saying “waiting for a driver to accept” - this occurs every single time. I am so over it. Never using Y-drive again.

EDITED:
Customer Service called me at around 9:45 and the rep Raja was EXTREMELY rude. I was not impressed with how she handled the situation and when I asked for a comp ride or discount on my next ride and all she said was “I’ll see what I can do, have a nice day” and hung up.

Y Drive Lindsay is a joke. Used to be my most reliable mode of transportation, but fell short and fast. Used to recommend them to everyone I knew, work and personal, but unfortunately they don't have the jam. While cabs are more expensive, they are definitely more reliable. It's really unfortunate. I'm willing to change my review if they actually get it together.

Side note, the drivers they do have are lovely.

The new updated version for iPhones is questionable .It won't allow to get a bigger "birds eye" view of map.....it insists of staying zoomed in right overtop of car, cannot see the roads. Also the information of where to be picked up and dropped off had also changed. Seems unnecessary .
Also, woke up to my pre scheduled ride for work being cancelled BC of a forced UPDATE so therefore it cancelled my booking and wiped all payment info.
Drivers are fantastic!! I have had all great experiences with the drivers. They are polite, considerate and accommodating with extra ppl or stops. Great drivers!!!

Fantastic drivers. Great dispatch service. Clean and great selection of vehicles that picks you up. Great experience so far. Love the light Blue Elantra N driver. Highly recommend YDrive for your local travel as well as out of the city drives
