My wife and I from Calgary joined your guide Amit on a tour in January for 4 days. The trip was 2 months ago, but we still talk about it every week, and we are still in touch with the American couple we made friends with that weekend.

I experienced 2 consecutive Aurora by Bus tours with Yellowknife Vacations & had a great time! Thankfully I was fortunate to see the Aurora both nights! Amit was very informative, conscientious & enthusiastic and truly showed that he loves his job as a guide! He even went the extra mile to let us stay out a bit longer when the Aurora suddenly got stronger as we were heading out. Pei also did a great job & took amazing pictures that we were fortunate to receive right after the tour! I was so happy to receive the pics as my phone camera pics were not that good. My booking is GYG83YLHM8Q5. We booked for one night tour with Yellowknife Vacations on September 29. We had 2 previous aurora tours with other providers. This tour is personal and a small group. We have 2 guides with us. They explained the facts of Aurora Borealis and history of the mining town of Yellowknife. The mini bus is spacious for 10 of us and the driving is safe. They looked for northern lights and stopped 4 locations near the lakes. They took care of taking pictures for us. We did not need to do anything except for posing in front of camera.
If we felt too cold, we hopped back to the van for a while and went out again. They turn on the heat in the van so it is warm inside. They served hot chocolate and cookies. The only disappointment is no hot coffee or tea which they advertised on the tour description.

It’s relaxing and intimate. If you look for care free Aurora experience without mingling with lots of strangers, this one is for you.

Sean and bharat were best at their service. They took us to all relevant places where northern lights were found. They were patient enough to click millions of pictures and sharing them with us. They both were super helpful and showed us tips and tricks to ensure we capture the high quality pictures. Loved their service. Totally recommend this tour.

Great tour guides, we had Kris and Amit. They drive a smaller tour van as opposed to the larger shuttle busses so that may be more appealing to some. Even though the Aurora were not brilliant the night we were with Yellowknife Vacations, Kris will be sure to hunt you down to see that you get all the great pics possible and the experience was a lot of fun. If you can book the Aboriginal Aurora tour, do it! Bobby, at B. Dene Adventures provides a great property with cabins and tepees. Great views of the lights and lake. Plus he is a wonderful, Indigenous host who will share all the rich history of his people and the area, let you join the drum circle, even fry up fresh fish for you on the fire!
